Sunil John has been at the heart of the public relations business in the Middle East for over two decades. During this time he has shaped ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller to be the benchmark of public relations consultancy in the Arab world, advising regional governments, international brands and global & local companies.

He has been instrumental in creating the specialised practice team structure in ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller with seven areas of expertise – corporate affairs, financial communications, consumer marketing, public affairs, healthcare, technology and energy & environment communications – all successfully building blue-chip client businesses in the region and internationally.

The consultancy has over a 150 professionals working in 11 wholly-owned offices across the Middle East. The success of the company has been widely acknowledged, notably when ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller was named the Middle East & Africa PR Agency of the year by the New York-based International Business Awards in 2013.

Sunil is the first PR professional in the Middle East to receive the Outstanding Individual Achievement SABRE Award (EMEA) from The Holmes Report in May 2014.

Since 2008, Sunil has been driving the annual ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller Arab Youth Survey, and in April 2016 launched its eighth edition. The survey is one of the most quoted independent public opinion research work on the Arab world by media across the world.
