Stephen Day is CEO, Burson-Marsteller UK. Prior, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Public Affairs. Stephen has extensive experience delivering public affairs and regulatory campaigns across a wide range of business sectors
He has advised senior executives and board members at FTSE 100 corporations and has successfully devised and helped execute high-profile campaigns, engaging political stakeholders and the media. He has been listed in PRWeek’s prestigious UK Power Book of industry leaders in 2017 and 2016 and this year was named by PRWeek as one of the UK’s Top Ten political communicators.
Before joining Burson-Marsteller, Stephen spent four years running independent London-based agency Portcullis Public Affairs as Managing Director. In a career spanning 16 years, he has also worked for FleishmanHillard and Weber Shandwick. He started his career in 2000 working for the Conservative Party’s Front Bench Trade and Industry Team.
