Ramiro Prudencio is CEO of Burson-Marsteller Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The agency’s EMEA region includes 91 offices across 77 countries, one of the industry’s most extensive regional networks. Ramiro’s unique background combines experience in public policy, major client engagements and agency operations with a deep understanding of global communications campaigns.
Ramiro has held various roles in his years with Burson-Marsteller. He joined the agency’s Washington office in 1990 after several years working in the U.S. House of Representatives as a legislative aide to a senior Member of Congress. He later moved to Chile to open the agency’s office in Santiago, followed by eight years as president of Burson-Marsteller Brazil in Sao Paulo. In all, Ramiro spent nearly 13 years leading local agency operations, teams and client engagements in these two markets. After returning to the U.S. in 2006, he led the agency’s Miami office and co-led Burson-Marsteller’s Global Key Client Relationship Program – a program that supports client teams focused on the agency’s largest global clients. He was named CEO of Burson-Marsteller Latin America in 2011. Under his leadership, Burson-Marsteller was named Latin American Agency of the Year in 2013 and 2015 by industry trade publication The Holmes Report. His areas of specialization include public affairs, corporate reputation, financial communications, and issues and crisis management.

Ramiro is a magna cum laude graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont where he studied American Civilization, was awarded high departmental honors and captained the men’s tennis team. He is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
