Burson-Marsteller Hong Kong Appoints New Managing Director

Hong Kong, July 7, 2008 – Burson-Marsteller, a leading global public relations and public affairs consultancy, today announced it has appointed Ms. Georgeana Fung as Managing Director and Market Leader of Burson-Marsteller’s Hong Kong office, effective July 7, 2008. Ms. Fung succeeds Ian McCabe, who has been serving concurrently as Market Leader, Burson-Marsteller Hong Kong, and Managing Director of the firm’s Asia Pacific Public Affairs and Government Communications Practice. Mr. McCabe will now focus specifically on managing and growing the Public Affairs and Government Communications Practice across the region.

Ms. Fung previously worked at Burson-Marsteller Hong Kong in the mid-1990s. Prior to taking up her current role with the firm, she served as Executive Vice President, Consumer Marketing Practice, for Weber Shandwick Greater China.

“Georgeana brings to the firm more than 18 years of experience in corporate affairs and public relations, including stints as a journalist and publisher, and in senior consultancy and in-house public relations roles. She also has an outstanding track record in building lasting client relationships and managing and developing public relations professionals,” Pangrazio said.

Her experience includes working for many leading companies and organizations in Hong Kong on brand building, media relations, issues and crisis management, consumer marketing public relations and corporate social responsibility.
