Burson-Marsteller Appoints Laurie Doyle Kelly As Managing Director in its U.S. Technology Practice

New York, August 13, 2008 – Burson-Marsteller, a leading global public relations and communications firm, today announced Laurie Doyle Kelly has been appointed as a Managing Director in its U.S. Technology Practice to lead the East Coast team.  Doyle Kelly brings more than 16 years of experience in consumer and business-to-business technology communications to her new position.  Based in New York, Doyle Kelly will report to Jennifer Graham, Global Chair of Burson’s Technology Practice.

Doyle Kelly, 43, will be responsible for managing client service, new business development and the overall growth of the East Coast Technology team.   She will also serve as a member of the firm’s New York leadership team.
 
“Laurie has led some of the best initiatives in technology communications,” Graham said.  “She has a deep understanding of the industry and the challenges within this highly competitive environment.  Our U.S. team will benefit from her strong leadership and strategic expertise.”
 
Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller, Doyle Kelly held numerous positions with SAP AG and was most recently responsible for managing the global partnership with Burson-Marsteller.  She was responsible for co-driving a reorganization project focused on enabling SAP global communications to better support the company’s aggressive business objectives.
 
Previously, Doyle Kelly was vice president of global public relations for SAP where she led all corporate public relations, executive communications and financial PR, media relations and the company’s global public relations network. Prior to that role, Doyle Kelly was responsible for global CRM communications including media relations, analyst relations and partner communications.

Before SAP, Doyle Kelly worked with The Weber Group (now Weber Shandwick) for more than a decade, positioning global technology companies in a broad range of industries from consumer technology and digital imaging to business software solutions.
 
Doyle Kelly holds an MBA from NIMBAS/Bradford University in the UK, an undergraduate degree in economics and a certificate in Global Leadership Development from INSEAD and SAP.
