Firm Also Honored for Diversity Initiative
NEW YORK, December 6, 2016 – Burson-Marsteller, a leading global strategic communications and public relations firm, today announced that Nati Katz has been named “Media Relations Professional of the Year” in PR News’ PR People Awards 2016. The awards recognize the passionate professionals and budding PR leaders who make communications matter in the marketplace. The winners were announced at an awards luncheon in Washington, D.C. on December 6.
Katz, a Manager in Burson-Marsteller’s Technology Practice, has more than 15 years of experience working at the intersection of technology and communications. His specialties include media relations, strategic planning, thought leadership, issues management, social media integration and digital marketing.

Before joining Burson-Marsteller, Katz was Vice President, Technology for Beckerman | Antenna Group, where he managed a large portfolio of clients in the technology, financial services and healthcare industries. Before that, he was the Vice President, Technology and Corporate Public Relations for Schnur Associates Inc., where he founded SAI Digital, the tech PR division that supports the firm’s core clients in the tech startup, government, policy and non-profit sectors. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Global Connectivity Technologies (GCT), 5W Public Relations and Logtel Computer Communications.
Katz holds dual Master’s degrees from Syracuse University: An M.S. in Public Relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications and an M.A. in International Affairs from the Maxwell School of Public Citizenship.
At the same ceremony, Burson-Marsteller was recognized for its “Together Being More” diversity and inclusion initiative.
