NEW YORK, December 16, 2014 — Burson-Marsteller is pleased to announce that Michael Law, U.S. CEO, has been named to the Board of Trustees of the American Forest Foundation. The American Forest Foundation is a nonprofit conservation organization that works to help the nation’s 22 million family woodland owners be good stewards and keep forests healthy for future generations.
“Michael’s personal passion for the outdoors gives him real insight into our conservation and education efforts. Throughout his career, Law has been deeply engaged in environmental communications and sustainability, helping brands and businesses understand the evolving needs of stakeholders as environmental issues become more prominent in the global marketplace. He has played an integral role in developing numerous sustainability and corporate social responsibility initiatives aimed at consumers, governments and other stakeholders.

Law joined Burson-Marsteller as President of the U.S. region in February 2013 and was named U.S. CEO in September 2014. Immediately prior to joining Burson-Marsteller, Law spent nine years at the helm of Ogilvy Public Relations’ West Coast operations. Law also has held senior executive roles at Ogilvy in Singapore, Hong Kong and Washington, D.C. Before joining Ogilvy, he worked for the United States Department of Justice. He was born and raised in Scotland, is married with three daughters and resides in Northern California. He is an Eagle Scout and avid outdoorsman.
