David Zitlow

David Zitlow serves as U.S. Chair of Burson-Marsteller’s Global Healthcare Practice, which counsels a wide-range of pharmaceutical, medical device, life science, managed care and association clients. He brings to Burson-Marsteller more than 20 years of experience in healthcare marketing and public relations with diverse experience ranging from market development and product launches to issues management and advocacy.

Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller, Dave was a corporate officer for Cord Blood Registry (CBR), the global leader in stem cell preservation, serving as the company’s chief marketing and communications officer. He was responsible for directing all aspects of the company’s corporate communications function, leading the marketing strategy for both consumers and healthcare professionals, and supporting the formation of the industry’s trade association.

Earlier in his career, Dave led the healthcare practice at GolinHarris and also spent several years as an executive with Manning, Selvage & Lee, where he helped launch several “new-to-the-world” consumer healthcare products. Dave began his career directing various entrepreneurial business initiatives in non-traditional or undeveloped markets for both Abbott Laboratories and McDonald’s.
