Trevor Francis, a Managing Director in the Media Practice, offers more than 12 years’ of experience in communications and media relations to Burson-Marsteller’s clients. Trevor currently serves as a senior communications counselor to a Fortune 15 client located in Virginia, provides media strategy to federal and state government agencies and offers strategic and issues management counsel to various clients ranging from universities to consumer product companies to health care providers.  
 
Trevor joined Burson-Marsteller after serving in the Bush Administration as the Press Secretary to U.S. Secretary of Commerce Donald L. Evans. There, Trevor was responsible for devising and implementing national and local media campaigns highlighting key Administration economic policies and initiatives. He became well-versed in issues relevant to business, ranging from tax and regulatory policy to international trade to technology. Before his tenure at the Commerce Department, Trevor also served in the Office of Communications at the U.S. Department of State where he was a chief liaison to foreign media covering the U.S. government. 
 
Trevor has extensive experience in the fast-paced and demanding arena of political communications. He served at the Deputy Director for Press Operations during the Inauguration of President Bush and Vice President Cheney, where he was responsible for all media aspects of official Inaugural events. During the George W. Bush for President Campaign, he served as a chief liaison to the national press corps traveling with the candidate.
 
Others positions held by Trevor include serving as the Director of Media Affairs at Policy Impact Communications, a Washington, D.C. public relations and public affairs firm headed by two national political party chairmen and as a communications specialist at the Republican National Committee.
 
Trevor received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and lives with his wife and dog in Arlington, Virginia.
