Patrick Ford is a corporate reputation and issues management specialist with more than 30 years of communications experience. He has consulted with a wide range of clients on corporate positioning, crisis and issues management, media relations, labor relations, and ally development.
His clients have included Accenture, Bank of America-Merrill Lynch, Nestle Waters and Shell Oil Company. Since joining Burson-Marsteller in 1989, Mr. Ford has served as a senior managing director in B-M’s Public Affairs Practice, chairman of the Corporate-Financial Practice, and, since 2006, head of B-M’s USA operations.
Before joining Burson-Marsteller, Mr. Ford served as vice president for public affairs at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research in Washington, DC. Before AEI, he was a public affairs specialist at Wagner & Baroody, for which he managed the Media Operations Center at the 1984 Republican National Convention. Mr. Ford began his career as a reporter for The Jersey Journal in Jersey City, NJ. He also served as a special New Jersey correspondent for Reuters.
Mr. Ford is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Committee for Economic Development, a nonpartisan policy institute in Washington, DC. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Public Relations and on the Agency Management Committee of the Council of Public Relations Firms.
